Which Ola EV should you buy?

Across the Ola range the answer turns on one number, and it is not the one most buyers start with: how far you drive on a typical day, not the longest trip you take in a year.

If your day is under 40 km and you can charge at home, the Ola S1 Air at ₹0.90 lakh is the sensible entry to the range — a realistic 109–121 km means you plug in once or twice a week and stop thinking about it. Paying for more range than that buys weight and price you will not use.

If you drive intercity often, the Ola Roadster is the one to look at — a claimed 248 km works out near 188 km in ordinary conditions, which is the difference between planning a trip and simply making it.

Whichever you lean towards, settle the charging question before the car question: whether you can put a charge point where you park changes Ola ownership more than any specification in the table above.

Match the variant carefully: within a single model the gap between the entry trim and the long-range trim is often several lakh.

Cheapest way in is the Ola S1 Air at ₹0.90 lakh ex-showroom. Longest claimed range is the Ola Roadster at 248 km, which works out to roughly 188 km in ordinary conditions once the 72–80% realistic band is applied. Lowest running cost in the line-up is the Ola S1 Air at about ₹0.23 per kilometre at ₹8 a unit.

No DC fast charging is listed across this line-up, which is normal for two-wheelers and for city-focused models. It means charging happens where you park, so settle that question before anything else.

What the table cannot tell you.
