Electric scooters and bikes in India (2026)
Every electric two-wheeler with a full page on EVBharat: 22 models with ex-showroom prices, claimed range, and the real-world range you should actually plan around.
How to choose, in four decisions
1. Where do you park? This one decides everything else. Covered parking with a socket means any scooter here works. Street parking or an upper floor with no socket means you need a removable battery you can carry inside.
2. What is your daily run? Under 40 km a day and almost every model on this list lasts most of a week on two charges. Over 60 km a day and you want a pack above 3 kWh, otherwise you will be charging every night.
3. Top speed or range? A 90 kmph scooter drains its pack much faster than a 60 kmph one. For a city-only commute the slower variant usually delivers better real range for less money.
4. Service network. Two-wheeler EVs are still a young category. Before booking, check the brand has a service point in your city. A cheaper scooter that waits three weeks for a spare part is not cheaper.
Real-world range on this page is our estimate at 72 to 80 per cent of the claimed figure, the shortfall we consistently see in Indian conditions. It is an estimate, not a road test, and we label it that way rather than presenting it as tested data.

Frequently asked questions
How much range do electric scooters really give in India?
Manufacturer figures come from ideal test conditions. In normal Indian riding, with traffic, a pillion and some throttle, expect roughly 72 to 80 per cent of the claimed number. A scooter rated at 150 km will realistically cover 110 to 120 km.
Can I charge an electric scooter at home?
Yes. Every scooter on this page charges from an ordinary 5A household socket, which is why two-wheelers are far easier to own than electric cars for anyone without dedicated parking. A full charge usually takes 4 to 6 hours and costs under Rs 20 at domestic tariffs.
Removable battery or fixed battery, which is better?
Removable packs matter if you park on the street or live above the ground floor with no socket nearby, because you carry the battery indoors to charge. Fixed packs are usually larger, better sealed against water and dust, and charge faster. Choose by where you park, not by the spec sheet.
How long does an electric scooter battery last?
Most brands warrant the pack for about 3 years or 30,000 km. Real degradation depends on how often you fast charge and how often you run the pack to empty. Charging to about 80 per cent for daily use and avoiding deep discharges extends pack life.
