EVBharat publishes buying research for people spending real money on electric vehicles in India. This page sets out who writes it, where the numbers come from, what we will not do, and how to tell us when we get something wrong.

Who runs EVBharat

EVBharat is edited by Kamini Singh, who is responsible for what appears on this site. Questions, corrections and complaints go to her through our contact page and are answered by a person, not a form.

Where our numbers come from

Every specification on this site — battery capacity, claimed range, power, charging time, seating, drive layout — comes from the manufacturer's published figures for the Indian market, recorded in our own vehicle database and dated. Where a manufacturer has not published a figure, we leave the field empty. We do not fill a gap with a number from a similar variant, a foreign-market specification, or an estimate dressed up as a spec.

Prices are ex-showroom and indicative. Indian EV prices move several times a year, so a price on this site is a starting point for a conversation with a dealer, not a quote.

What we estimate, and how we label it

Manufacturer range figures are measured in test conditions that no Indian owner drives in. So alongside every claimed range we publish a realistic range, calculated at 72 to 80 per cent of the claimed figure.

That is an estimate, and we say so every time it appears. We have not road-tested these vehicles, and we do not describe our estimates as tested figures. The reasoning behind the number is set out on our range estimate methodology page.

Running costs on this site are arithmetic, not measurement: battery size multiplied by an electricity tariff, divided by our realistic range estimate. We state the tariff we used so you can substitute your own.

What we will not publish

That last one matters most. If a page on this site does not tell you something you could not have worked out from a spec sheet, it should not exist, and we would rather delete it than leave it up.

Corrections

If a price, specification or claim on this site is wrong, tell us through the contact page. We correct factual errors as soon as we can verify the correct figure, and we update the page date when we do. We do not quietly edit a page to hide a mistake that changed someone's buying decision.

How we make money

EVBharat is funded by display advertising and by connecting readers who ask for it with dealers. Neither affects what we write. No brand, dealer or advertiser sees a review before it is published, and no payment has ever changed a recommendation on this site. Where a link earns us money, that is disclosed on the page it appears on.

Independence from manufacturers

We do not accept vehicles, travel or hospitality from manufacturers in exchange for coverage. When we cite an external road test — which we do, because we are not a testing outfit — we name the publication so you can judge the source yourself.

How often pages are updated

Vehicle pages are reviewed when a manufacturer changes a price or specification. Comparison and buying-guide pages are reviewed at least twice a year, and more often in segments that are moving quickly. Every page carries the date it was last updated.

This policy was last updated in October 2026. If something on this site does not match what is written here, that is a bug in our process and we want to know about it.
