At a realistic 382–424 km, the BYD M6 is a genuine long-distance vehicle. Most intercity runs from a metro become a drive rather than a plan, which is the point at which range stops being the thing you shop on.
The BYD M6 claims about 37 minutes on a DC fast charger, which is mid-market. Fine for the occasional long drive; noticeable if you do one every weekend, because that wait repeats on every trip.
Over 1,000 km in a month the BYD M6 costs roughly ₹1569 in electricity at ₹8 a unit, against about ₹5000 of petrol for an equivalent car. That is ₹3431 a month and ₹41177 a year.
